Do you (or someone you know) have mitral valve prolapse?

Do you (or someone you know) have mitral valve prolapse?
Best answer:
My husband has it. It was found during a routine exam. He doesn't have any symptoms. No medication was prescribed except for when he has surgery or dental work he has to be on antibiotics.I did get diagnosed with this condition while a young woman, and during severe asthmatic episodes, the doctor (my primary care physician at the time) diagnosed MVP. Most of the time there are no symptoms -- one of the things that I have to deal with is to make sure that I pre-medicate prior to routine dental work ... otherwise, it is my normal Asthma Medications.I have it, my dad has it and my grandma has it. There really aren't any symptoms with it. The only thing I had to do different is take a large dose of amoxicillin before any type of surgery or dental work -- there's a higher risk of a heart infection with it. But it's nothing to get too worked up over -- it's very common.

Should my cervix be this low? 4 months postpartum and worried about prolapsing Any answers would be of help?
Best answer:
no thats normal. for me at least. i can always reach mine easilyNo, that's not low. Low is when it's one inch from your vaginal entrance or less (and even that can be normal for someone, and does not need to indicate a problem)
One full finger's length is quite normal.
