Alternatives to a hysterectomy?

Alternatives to a hysterectomy?
Best answer:
I had a hysterectomy and I would give anything if I hadn't. I was 44 years old too and had fibroids. A hysterectomy puts your body immediately into what is called surgical menopause (unnatural menopause due to the surgery). I felt so terrible and the hot flashes were unbearable. So I did get rid of my periods but my body took on a whole other set of health problems because of the surgery, and I learned later that fibroids eventually dry up and disappear.
I have been reading and learning about virgin coconut oil and it has many health benefits. It's suppose to be good for female problems too. Maybe your mom could try it for a couple of weeks to see if it helps. (You are suppose to take 1-3 spoonfuls a day) But if your mom has the surgery I think she'll be alright. It's a very routine surgery. You sound like a sweet daughter and I sincerely hope it goes well for your mom.

How is a partial hysterectomy surgery done?
Best answer:
sounds like surgery is her only alternative at this point, and how they do it depends on too many variables, your mom needs to ask her surgeon if she wants to know the particulars.
