HELP!! I have Round Ligament Pain, and I am not pregnant!?
Best answer:
It isn't round ligaments that will cause you to have a hysterectomy. Broad ligaments are folded sheets of peritoneum draped over the uterine tubes, the uterus, and the ovaries. It extends from the sides of the uterus, to the side walls of the pelvis, dividing the pelvis from side to side. Round ligaments are in the groin area. It is possible, that when surgery was done, they needed to secure the broad ligaments tighter to bring up the uterus and keep it in place. either way, you should go back to your OB-GYN and let them know what's going on. I know the fear or threat of hysterectomy, I had one at 35 but I also had 4 children. I wish you well and please, call your MD. Be blessedhave you seen the doctor that did the surgery lately? You might want to go back. I also had a severe prolapsed uterus at 18 and after 3 failed tacking procedures it was decided that I have a hysterectomy. Sounds like it might have fallen back down.
