going for second opinion on prolapsed bladder. Is surgery the only alternative?
Best answer:
It never hurts to get a second opinion! I'm almost 50 and had this surgery last year. They told me I was in stage 4, but there were a couple of different scales. Mine was probably caused from lifting and carrying my children very low from premature labor. It was a wonderful decision for me. I no longer lose control when sneezing, coughing, or lifting anything.
If you decide to have the surgery, just follow the doctor's orders precisely, and you should do well.
I wish you the best!

Need to have surgery to correct prolapsed bladder, looking to hear about other people's experience?
Best answer:
My mom had surgery to correct her prolapsed bladder last year at the age of 48 and it went by quick. She was only sore for about a week. She did have to stay home for 2 days of work, not much pain she said. But, the overall recovery is just about 2 weeks in all. (The doctor told us when my mom was in pre-surgery) Good luck!
