is there a non surgical answer besides a pessary for prolapsed uterus?

Best answer:
I hear what you say, and I'm believing that your emotions are genuine. I hate to be the bearer of probably bad news.

If you are at a point that pessary use is necessary because of the degree of your uterine prolapse, you are going to have a serious problem carrying any future pregnancies to term. What is your gynecologist's opinion on future pregnancies, or on becoming pregnant again in general?

The first comment I'd make on non-surgical help would be to make sure that if you're obese or overweight, you make sincere efforts to get into better shape. Get some of the additional weight that might be adding to the prolapse "weight", so to speak.... if you are heavy that is.

Is a prolapsed uterus common in your late 20s?
Best answer:
I had a hysterectomy eight weeks ago because of a prolapsed uterus. I am 31, but I suffered from it since I was around 26.
My doctor told me that it was from having children. I was having severe pressure and heavy bleeding during my period. Also, I would have pain when I would walk or jog. It basically felt like I had a bowling ball between my legs.
I took bc pills for a few months just to slow down the bleeding a little, but there really is no other treatment except surgery to remove the uterus.
If you want to have more children, there is something that can be put in place that will hold the uterus up- that is just to preserve it so you can have more kids.
Once I am totally healed, I think it will definitely be worth it!
Let me know how you make out at the doctor!! Good luck!
