Just had an operation and now can't go to the toilet?
Best answer:
just get a bucket.Get straight back to the hospital emergency. A cafeta can be inserted
(it doesn't hurt one little bit) and that will drain the urine for you.
Doctor will tell you the details. That is sometimes a side effect of general anesthesia. If you have not been able to pee at all for 24 hours you need to go into the Emergency room. They will drain the urine out of your bladder so it doesn't cause other bladder problems for you or kidney problems (like hydronephrosis). If you let the urine back up it can cause serious problems. As long as you get treatment for your issues right now, the problem with not being able to urinate should resolve soon on it's own after that. Not sure if you mean that you can't walk to the toilet, or once you get there, you can't use it.. Two separate problems! If you can not walk to the toilet you need what is call a "urinal" someone might be able to pick one up for you at the local drug store. If you are able to get to the toilet but not able to go... call your Doctor!
Hope that helps!
Adam-OIt's a side effect of anaesthetic.
Go sit on the toilet. Just sit there. And then try to pee. If it takes you a half hour, just sit there, keep trying. Don't push any, just try to relax.
Don't drink any more just yet... until you've been. Once you've been once, you'll find it easier to go again.
Once you get going properly, then start drinking again. If you haven't peed within 24 hours of the anaesthetic, then you should go to the accident & emergency / casualty of the hospital where you had the procedure. You'll need a catheter, which is unpleasant, but less unpleasant than having a burst bladder.
I really really recommend sitting on the loo trying to relax.I can't believe a person said "cafeta"!!!! It's spelled CATHETER!!
So, yes, so to a doctors, and they'll put catheter in you.Try relaxing when you are at the toilet or go to a doctor to get things checked out.

Can I drink pepsi after just having my hernia repaired 4 days ago?
Best answer:
I hope you feel better ..You are better off asking your Doctor.. Pepsi really ??Pepsi why not it would be the same as drinking anything else (except it has caffeine in it ) if the doctor didn't want you to drink it, it would be written on your discharge papers or they would have told you.i say have a Pepsi and enjoy.yeah u should. A hernia would not have had contact with ur stomach lining so, no reason u shouldn't be able to drink pepsi or anything u want so long as it doesn't make you cough or increase ur intra-abdominal pressure. But, if in doubt, consult your surgeon or a local GP who can actually see u and determine better than any1 online can cos we can't see u. They can.wait a couple of days... soda has a nasty habit of giving you really horrible pain in the first few days after any kind of abdomen surgery. it takes a few days for your system to return to business as usual and it is not funny.

Equipped with system for monitoring work speed and a heater for boosting performance, this upright machine deep-cleans carpets and rugs by forcing a warm solution of water and cleansing concentrate into fibers and vacuuming up the dirty solution. The 1440-watt machine also scrubs bare floors (but not hardwood floors) and cleans stairs, upholstery, auto interiors, and even mattresses with onboard tools that spray dirty surfaces and crevices with the cleaning solution. A powered hand-tool that either brushes or vacuums at the flick of a switch accompanies the machine and attaches to a flexible accessories hose.
