If a woman has heavy menstural bleeding, and a build up of tissue in the uterus,what do you think it is?

i think the heavy bleeding is because of all the tissue build up in the uterus. When we menstruate we shed the lining to prepare for egg attachment. It is similar to when a person does not get a period for a period( sorry) of time. All that tissue is built up, so when they do begin to menstruate again its a heavy cycle. All of these things should be taken up with a doctor. But this is as far as I know.are you cramping bad? do you think you might be having a miscarriage?
