Surgery :(For a prolapse that isn't severe they do have vaginal pessaries that can be fitted to hold things in place. They have to be fitted and placed by a doctor, who will also instruct the patient on how to remove, clean and replace it periodically. They also recommend weight loss if the lady is overweight, along with the kegels. They also recommend the lady doesn't lift any significant amount of weight- usually not more than about 25 pounds. The pessary is a good choice for avoiding surgery in many cases, but not if the prolapse is severe. In that case, surgery is the only choice.
