what to do after hysterectomy and ovaries to prevent dryness of the uterus ?
Best answer:
If you had a total hysterectomy, you no longer have a uterus. Go back to your gynecologist, as bleeding is not a good sign.
If your vagina is dry, there are hormone-free lubricants sold over-the-counter.if you had a hyst, you do not have a uterus. I assume you mean a dry vagina. nothing will work like hormones, talk to your doc to see if you are a candidate for vaginal estrogen. IDK why you think you are high risk for cancer, but many women are able to use the vaginal preparation. Otherwise, you can try Replens-a vaginal moisturizer. Available over the counter at any drugstore. It is not for lubrication during sex, it is for moisturizing the vaginal and can be used 2 or 3 times weeklyAs noted above, hysterectomy=removal of the uterus. If you had only one or both ovaries removed, that is called oophorectomy (bilateral if both are taken). If tubes were removed as well (one or both), it is then termed a salpingoophorectomy (bilateral if both tubes and both ovaries are removed). If you had a hysterectomy and oophorectomy as you indicated above, you do not have a uterus or ovaries.
In any event, if you are referring to vaginal dryness, there are over the counter lubricants and alternative supplements (herbs, etc.) you can look into without having to resort to synthetic HRT. If you share some clarification, we can probably offer some additional feedback. Good luck to you.

Has anyone had a hysterectomy and Bladder lift done at the sametime?
Best answer:
I had a partial hysterectomy at 24. They did it vaginally (no incision) and they always have to move your bladder when they do that... at least they did with me.
I drove myself to the doctor 3 days after I got out of the hospital, so my recovery time was very short - but again, I didn't have an incision.
If they are making an incision, probably 2 or 3 weeks before you really start feeling better. I didn't 'notice' anything with my bladder after the surgery, but had constant UTI's for a year or so after. :(
Good Luck!a lady i used to babysit 4 had it done both together her recovery she said in the hospital for 4 days she came home with a bag to pee she had it for 3-4 weeks but evey one is different she was only in pain for a few day you should ask your dr these questions he can explan step by step after a month she was back 2 work
