Is it advisable to take HRT after the removal of uterus and ovaries?
Best answer:
The condition you will see is sudden menopause. The hormone replacement therapy will reduce, not cure, the next phase of your body adjusting to the removal of the ovaries. Hot flashes, night sweats, day sweats, dizziness, headache, lack of sex drive. Ask your MD to give you the handout paper on menopause.
About side effects of Uterus removal?
Best answer:
you start menopause and you start to get facial hair and stuffIs she having anything else removed besides her uterus. Your hormones are actually produced in your ovaries. May doctors leave those in place so that you don't go through immediate menopause.Depends on whether or not she gets to keep any ovaries. If she does she will be ok, and not go through the menopause, although she is fifty she might anyway. She can get estrogen replacement though, and be ok. I had mine taken out at 25, I still have an ovary though. I don't miss it at all. It is great!
