endometrial ablation???

endometrial ablation???
Best answer:
your insurance might cover it, but then again maybe not, depends on your plan. I would be honest with the doc and no it doesn't stop all people's periods. This is probably a pretty unusual problem. I have no idea what the insurance company would say, but I have the feeling that this is not a procedure that is on their radar as being unnecessary. Certain procedures are red flags for them to deny or question. But as long as the gyn picked a procedure code that is the type they would cover, you will likely be OK. Hard to say, though, since there are so many variations in insurance co's.My wife had one was a waste of money did not stop her periods.Hi,
This procedure cauterizes the lining of the uterus causing scarring to reduce bleeding. Laser, freezing or hot saline is used. There is no guarantee that your periods will stop. Ask your gyn about Lupron Depot. This will shut down your cycle and put you into menopause. I've met transmen who have done this. Insurance may pay for it but your gyn may ask why you are doing this. How old are you? Do you trust your gyn? Let me know how you make out. Luke

Best answer:
NO I have not had one. I would love to have short periods. I am done with the child bearing. Thanks I am going to look into thatyes i had the procedure done 1 year ago this past june. i had been bleeding for 8 months straight, thats why they did it. however, now 1 year later my periods are irregular again, though not as heavy, i still never know when i will have one. so the procedure was not a complete success for me, but if it worked for you, great!
